Merv passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, on 17th November 2023 aged 77 years.

Merv will be lovingly remembered by his partner Fran, his children Damon, Stuart and Natasha, their partners and grandchildren. Merv will also be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

We welcome you to join us at Merv's Funeral service which will take place in the Avon room, Rainsbrook Crematorium, Ashlawn Road, Rugby CV22 5QQ on Friday 8th December 2023 at 2.00pm.

We'll be having a Wake for him just along the road at Hillmorton Ex-Service Men's Club, High St, Hillmorton, Rugby CV21 4EH

The Family have requested Family flowers only, however you are very welcome to make a Donations to Prader-Willi Syndrome Association UK which was very close to Merv's heart.

Always so happy and positive whenever I saw him. This is over thirty years ago at my 18th when he thought he was doing a magic trick and ended up with soot on his face. Such a lovely man- I am so sorry I can’t be at the funeral. My thoughts are with you.

We are remembering Merv with great affection. Always with a cheerful smile on his face, quick to laugh at Andy's daft jokes and happy to give Petra driving advice
and Austin magazines. He will be missed greatly at choir events at which he was always happy to take charge in the kitchen and organise things expertly and also at Fran's coffee mornings where he always popped his head in and made us laugh, or happily served us tea and coffee and cakes at choir coffee mornings hosted by him and Fran. A great guy to have known.

Words cannot express how much we loved this man. So kind, generous of his time and support. Not so much with the quality of his lager at Christmas parties I.e Tesco value !! He could always be relied on to eat every dessert offered and sometimes seconds. Our lives are better for knowing him. He will be so missed by
