I cannot believe you have gone.
Heaven has gained an angel of a man!
The most kind, caring, lovely guy.
I worked with you at Thomas Cook for years & built a special bond. You then always visited me at work at Nationwide in Folkestone to say hi, always sent me a birthday card even though we didn’t see each other often, you never forgot & always asked me if I had found love yet. I would love to have told you one day I had.
I am so so sad you have gone but the memories of you & your amazing character will live on from whom were close to you & knew you well.
Sending my love to Lorna, your boys and family for their loss & the ceremony on Wednesday. Be thinking of you all.
Miss you & take care up there xx
Danika x

I first met Jerry when he came to work at the Thomas Cook shop in Dover.
He was such a lovely man and took great care of his many loyal customers. He had a real old school charm and a cheeky sense of humour. He used to write a little comment in my Christmas card from Thierry Henry!
I will miss our annual catch up calls and send sincere condolences to Lorna and his family.
RIP Dear friend.

Iris and myself first met Jerry in the early 70's along with most of the Thomas Cook boys working on the cross channel ferries as Currency Exchangers. He was sharing a house with Cliff in Sandgate ( Folkestone) and we had many great parties in that house, we also all used to meet in the British Lion Pub in Folkestone and Jerry was always there as part of our crowd. Eventually being one if the bachelors in the crowd he met the love of his life Lorna, and I was really honoured to be his best man at their wedding which was a great day enjoyed by all. Their song at the time was 10cc "I'm not in love" but they were very much in love. Every time I hear that song I automatically think of Lorna and Jerry. The world has lost a lovely, kind hearted and considerate person. Our deepest sympathies ho out to Lorna, Mathew and Adam and their families at this very sad time. Love and Best Wishes Iris and Ken Wilkie (Aberdeenshire)

Met Jerry when he joined Thomas Cook in 1964.
Our love of Football was obvious from the start.
After work going to Highbury or in 1971 rushing to see Arsenal win the league at Tottenham.
we worked together on cruises and had holidays in Rhodes and Amsterdam too.
We went our different ways eventually but kept in touch and a few years ago met up with Lorna as well in Canterbury .

Sadly missed.RIP
my dear friend
