In loving memory of Stanley Newton, known by all as Stan, who sadly passed away on 26th October 2023.
A loving brother to Adrian.
He was a fabulous Dad to Julian, Sam & Angie and Grandad to Michael, Lucille, Luke, Stephen, Lee, Laura, Lauren, Andrew and Abigail.
The family grew even more until he could proudly say he was a Great Grandad to Aleisha, Shaya, Kimberley, Jack, Oliver, Willow, Cory, Sophia, Anthony, Harriet, George, Alexa, Lewis, Levi, Joshua, Jacob, Seth, Brooke, Layton, Logan, and Daisy.
Having lived in a number of towns including Portsmouth & Staveley, he finally settled in Derby and made lots of friends, especially during his time working at Gala.
We will all miss him like mad and we are so very grateful for the time we were all lucky enough to have with him.

Stan was my big brother for 74 years. I will miss him sorely.
Our early days were spent together, roaming the streets of a large city, then playing in the fields and woods in the countryside, when the family moved back to our father's home area. We grew up together, played together, and the two years between us did not seem to matter. When we became older, our interests naturally started to change, and although we didn't spend so much time together, we remained close.
He was a good man, if he could do you a good deed, he would, and I never knew him to do harm to anyone.
He had immense love for his family and always did his best for them. I don't think you can say much better about a man than that.
