Noreen Florence Woods (11 Sep 1928 - 17 Oct 2023)

In loving memory of Noreen Florence Woods who sadly passed away on 17th October 2023. When she passed Noreen had recently celebrated her 95th Birthday with her family.

Her funeral takes place at 1.15pm on Thursday 16th November at the Memorial Chapel, Surrey & Sussex Crematorium, Balcombe Road, Crawley RH10 3NQ. The service is also available via webcam on the day and for 5 days following at https://www.wesleymedia.co.uk/webcast-view Login Pin 258-9066

All those who knew her are welcome and also, following the service, to join the family to remember and celebrate Noreen's life at the Heathy Farm, which is opposite the entrance to the crematorium. The dress code is colourful and donations rather than flowers are preferred. Donations to The British Heart Foundation or The Romanian Aid Foundation in Horley, for whom Noreen knitted hats for and donated to regularly, can be made on this site or on the day.

A wife, mother, grandmother and great great grandmother Noreen was a true character, once met rarely forgotten. Generous, fun, strong and determined to do her own thing. Although the loss of her beloved husband Chris in 2001 affected her greatly she didn't let it stop her living her life.

Noreen died of heart failure due to old age in East Surrey Hospital, having been admitted a couple of hours earlier. It was peaceful, she didn't suffer and she wasn't alone, her son Simon and daughter-in-law Den were with her and in the days preceding she was visited by her many of her grand, great grandchildren and friends.
