My earliest memory of Uncle Doug was when I was 10years old and I walked into the Kingdom Hall for the first time. He had a huge smile o his face and was very welcoming. He was always so so cheerful and had so many interesting stories to tell. Very much looking forward to seeing him very soon.
We are sending lots of love to the family and keeping them in our prayers. Big hugs to all from myself, Lee, George and Joe xxx

Many fond memories of Uncle Doug, who always had a smile on his face. When he was 95 years old, we went to Felixstowe beach with Doug and Dad (his brother John) They both rolled up their trousers and with one on each arm, I took them down for a paddle in the sea. Such a simple thing but it brought great pleasure to them both.
All our love to the family at this sad time and we look forward to when we will welcome back our loved ones in the near future.

We are sorry that we could not attend in person, as we both tested positive for Covid-19. We enjoyed the service very much and laughed as we looked at all of the pictures of Doug by the beach. The reason he went to the dedication of the branch in the Netherlands is that he was very friendly with the Chengadoo family, as Dad was. That was surely how he got the invitation. We also remember well the music get togethers that he liked to organise, along with Dad. He always used to ask me to sing songs by Abba and I was happy to oblige. The only thing is, when I was singing, he was always busy talking to someone! We look forward to seeing him again in the resurrection to come.
Lots of love to all
Michael and Sarah xxxx
