Thomas Hamilton Dick (19 Jul 1977 - 15 Sep 2023)

On September 15th 2023, the world lost a charismatic, energetic, and endlessly positive force of nature in its loss of Tom.

He was a loving husband to Esther, his wife and the love of his life, and a great dad to Rufus and Agnes, who were the center of his world. His love for life was evident in his passions and his ability to make every moment filled with fun and laughter.

Tom was born on 19th July 1977 to Liz and Rob, and was joined by his beloved younger brother Andy.

Tom had a passion for education, devoting his life to a career in teaching and then in more recent years in management in the FE sector, where he widely respected.

His other passion was for his beloved Porsche and vintage Omegas, and his collection of watches was a testament to his meticulous attention to detail, a passion he shared with his brother Andy.

Tom’s also loved the company of friends, always ready to share a laugh and create lasting memories. He believed that life was meant to be lived, and he did so with humour and enthusiasm, often with a glass of fine rum, wine, rum… anything alcoholic really, in hand. Tom was the life of the party, his charismatic spirit and energy were infectious.

A celebration of Tom’s life will be held on Friday 13th October, 12pm, at Rushcliffe Oaks Crematorium. In honor of Tom’s memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the British Heart Foundation.
