In loving memory of John Augustine Sherwood who sadly passed away on 8th September 2023.
Born in Lambeth, London on 31st March 1956.
Oldest of three brothers- John, Robert & Steven.
Moved to Australia for a period of time in his early years before returning back to the UK.
Lived in & around Luton for many years until moving north to Derbyshire.
John’s passion was always music, particularly playing the guitar. He set up a band (Never Say Die) who played locally & toured around.
John worked many jobs throughout the years from accounting, building, sales & transport. He also volunteered to rebuild the airport at the Falklands during the war.
John excelled in sales and won many awards for outstanding performance, taking him to many places such as Miami, Prague & Thailand.
John met & married Dawn & was father to Micheal, Luke & Gus .
After divorcing Dawn, many years later he met Janine & had Nuala, his youngest daughter.
John lived in many locations throughout his final years including Beccles, Great Yarmouth, Manchester, Rochdale & Nottingham.
He always had a special relationship with Nottingham & the city life.
John always made time for his new grandchild who he loved. He most recently attended the christening & enjoyed the whole day.
