Philip Hudson (11 Apr 1960 - 6 Sep 2023)

Philip was a great friend and colleague and is greatly missed by all who knew him at Barnsley hospital.

In memory of Phillip Hudson

I only worked with Phillip for a short time since May 2022 as I joined Barnsley Hospital Trust and it was an absolute privilege. Phillip was an extremely kind and caring colleague and was so well liked and respected by all of his colleagues on the board. He worked continuously despite not feeling his best. It was very clear how much he loved and was proud of all of his family and relished being a Grandad. He will be missed and on behalf of the Board Julia please accept our condolences and best wishes to you all.

I had the pleasure of working with Phil over a number of years at Barnsley Hospital. He was an absolute gentleman, staff loved working with him and he was personally very supportive to me when I was going through a difficult time. We will all miss him and pass on our condolences to his family who he was so obviously proud of.

I thought the service was beautiful and reflected Phil's life in a very nice way.
Your 2 sons Dan & David spoke really well and I feel sure Philip would have been proud of all 3 of you. My thoughts were with Phil during the Newcastle game the day before. They obviously played the game for him. Whenever we played golf together we always had good banter about Newcastle & Leeds. We will all miss him at West End Golf Club.
I apologise for not going to the Maypole after the service. Unfortunately I had to to pick our youngest granddaughter up from school. Hope it went well.
