Andrew, I loved you the moment I met you. I remember bathing you in our front room when you first came home. You wee'd on me. We had so much fun. I slept in your room and you would wake up and the fun would start. We would create havoc in Pauline's kitchen and surprise your mum and dad when they woke up. You were the light of my life when you were a baby, young boy, teenager. Sadly, I did not know the lovely man you became because of circumstances I'm not prepared to go into, which were nothing to do with you. You remained loyal to your family but when we met we embraced and we kissed. I am so sorry we could not attend your funeral, a member of our close family was on end of life care and died when we were due to come to you,for that we are sorry. We went to see your mum and dad and attended your memorial, where Kate Meynall, the chief Constable, spoke so highly of you. You were the one who was taken far to young. It should not have been you. RIP Adj Andrew xx

My very true friend, Andrew, your presence amongst us will be cherished; and missed. You were loved by us all for your humour, fun and kindness, always you being you; safe hands. You will be in my thoughts for as long as I am lucky enough to walk this earth. My thoughts and hope for strength and courage for your family, I know from you how you doted on one another; friends and colleagues, in your absence go without saying. Until we meet again, sleep tight. Goodnight, God bless.

Very fond memories of you Andy and you always used to say I was your favourite but I suspect it was because I always came on duty with my newspaper. I also suspect it was because I cooked the shift a breakfast every now and then. You were the only person who could get away with calling me Shazza. Rest in peace lovely man X
