In loving memory of Ann Elizabeth Hall who sadly passed away on 23rd August 2023. Ann was born in Norwich on 30th December 1945 to Marjorie Stanford. She had an older brother, Harry (deceased), and an older sister, Daphne (deceased). At age 10 her older sister Daphne left Norwich to start a new life in America. Ann attended Bull Close school and then Angel Road Girls School. It was here she met her very best lifelong friend Mary (they were like sisters), and also her lifelong friend Wendy. On leaving school Ann worked at Bishops Shoe Shop in Norwich. She also worked at Rowntree Macintosh on the Quality Street line as well as The Wimpey and several barmaid jobs. She worked as an auxiliary nurse at The West Norwich Hospital and then The Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital until her retirement after 26 years.
In 1971 Ann joined the Territorial Army in Norwich reaching the rank of Sergeant. She served for over 20 years. Ann met many people and had remained close friends to many of her old comrades.
Ann is survived by her beloved husband Allan, her children Stephen, Joanne & Thomas and reunited with her late son Christopher (Charlie) and will be greatly missed. She will also be missed by her grandson Jordan & his wife Amy, grandson Jack & granddaughter Grace also great Grand daughters Rosie & Edith as well as her daughter-in-law Michelle & son-in-law Carl. Also family in the USA nephew John (deceased), niece Cindy & husband Bob, Shanda, Jeremy, Tripp & Skylar and Krista & Justin.
