In loving memory of John Barry Bowes who sadly died on 17th August 2023 aged 91 following a short battle with cancer.
John was born on 13 April 1932 in Bermondsey to Alexander and Alice. He is survived by his children, John, Claire and Laura and grandsons Harry, Stanley and Henry.
Please join us as on Friday 22 September as the funeral cars leave from Ryedale, SE22 0QW at 10.15am or at Honor Oak Crematorium SE4 2LJ for a 10:45am service of remembrance. After the service and from midday onwards please join us at Watsons Telegraph, 108 Forest Hill Road, SE22 0RS. There is plenty of unrestricted parking near to the pub or on Ryedale.
Dad's preference was to support a charity that helped the local people of Rotherhithe & Bermondsey where he was born instead of flowers. Rotherhithe Consolidated Charities is a registered charity that exists to support people living in the Ancient Parish of Rotherhithe that are in need through charitable grants and payments. The charity benefits those living near to the Docks that were always so close to Dad's heart.
