I am so sad to hear of Brian's death. I am his cousin and we grew up together in Clay Cross Derbyshire. We spent alot of time together when we were young but sadly lost touch. I will be thinking of him today.

The service starts at the Presbytery at 2pm, after the service Brian will leave from the South door on a horse drawn carriage with a bugler playing the last post as a mark of respect. After the service we will be heading to the Glass House on Wensum Street to raise a glass or 2 in honour of Brian ❤️

Agree with Steve Mobbs's comments. Brian was a proper gentleman, loved and respected by all of us colleagues On The railways, unflappable, and I enjoyed working with Brian as my conductor guard on many trains I drove. Always a safe pair of hands, we sorted any problems out on the trains between ourselves with the minimum of fuss. A brilliant ship mate who brought his naval skills to the railway. RIP Brain, will be there on Monday.
