Sam was determined and knew his own mind. I got to know Sam on my daily walk, he was out in any weather winter and summer and loved to chat. We had the most interesting chats about his life looking after cows in fact Sam always seemed to use his cow prodding stick to help him walk up and down. Sam was determined if he felt a job needed doing that's what he did despite his age and advice anyone tried to give him. Sam and I discussed the places he had seen on his driving job and was interested to know if they had changed. One of the nicest things Sam did was to have flowers in his window because as he explained this is what his late wife did. He was a gentleman and a thoroughly nice chap. Blessings to him and his family and friends RIP Sam.
