In loving memory of Allan Soar, who passed peacefully away aged 95, on the morning of Sunday 16th July, at Friston House Care Home in Rochester, surrounded by his family.
We are extremely grateful to all the staff at Friston House for the love, care and excellent nursing they gave to Allan during his time with them this last year, enriching the quality of his life, and for their support to our family.
Dad/Grandad loved and cared for his family and friends always, and in all ways, and was loved by so many in return. He brought such happiness to life and to those around him, ever generous with his time and hospitality. We will cherish the fun and laughter we shared; he was a true gentleman and constant inspiration.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday 29th August at 1.00 pm, at the Garden of England Crematorium, Sheppey Way, Bobbing, ME9 8GZ.
After the service, you are warmly invited to join the family for light refreshments at The Tudor Rose, Chestnut Street, Sittingbourne, Kent ME9 8BT.
We are planning family flowers only, but if you would like to make a donation in his memory, Allan would be honoured by a gift to his favourite charity, The Salvation Army.

Uncle Allan was an intelligent, kind man who had a perfect partnership with his late wife, Joy. We had so many great family holidays and they were both brilliant with. Mum after our dad died . Grateful to have known him ❤️
