I bought a book in a second hand book shop. It’s a book of poetry and prose for memorials for funerals, a strange tome but something that interests me. I didn’t know David, but I have his name in my book. He would have bought it for £7.95 as is written on a post it. Delicately placed inside with a sticker denoting his name and address if the book was ever lost it could be returned.
I’ll buy the book from David through a donation

In fond memory of a great and much loved friend.
Couldn't wish to find a nicer thoughtful and Caring person than David.
We are privileged to have met him and being able to see him whenever we were in the area, and sometimes not.
We were lucky to share some quality time with David and Anne when we took them out for a few hours to a River/Park which we will never forget. We will miss you a lot but will forever remember all the time we have spent with you.
We also have a very special memory when David played the Piano with our Granddaughter Amelia when she was two (she loved it) and remembered it for a few years.

It was a great privilege to have known David over the years. Such a warm, wise and lovely man. A great asset to our humanist community in the south of England.
