In celebration of Philip Osborne, who sadly passed away on 13th October, 2015.

Born to Fred and Margaret on 9th June 1948, Philip grew up in Long Buckby with his sister, Judith.
Having met Anna Paszkiewicz at a rugby club dance in Daventry, they married 9 months later on 27th March 1971. After a brief spell living in Daventry and the birth of their two sons Anthony and Richard, Anna and Phil bought a plot of land in Ravensthorpe to build their own home for their young family. Seven years later their family was completed with the birth of their daughter, Amy. Philip was a very proud family man and doted on his wife, children and his six grandchildren, Loren, Alice, Gemma, Lilli, Finli and Eliza.
As a true rugby devotee, Philip spent many a Saturday at Long Buckby Rugby Football Club, first as club Captain, then club Secretary and finally as club President. Anna found herself contending with Philip’s love of the game, however, they made many lifelong friends who will stay close to their hearts.
A gifted teacher, Philip gave many years to Daventry Grange Junior School, both as a teacher and as a Deputy Head. He was very much loved and respected by pupils and colleagues alike and would delight in meeting ex-pupils whilst doing the weekly shop.
Throughout this very difficult and unexpected time, Anna has shown the true strength that Philip so admired and loved. She is well supported by her children and their partners; Jules, Phillippa and Andy. The support is also extended by Philip’s Mother, Father and Sister who all miss him dearly.

Philip supported the charities Bliss, for premature Babies, as well as Crohns and Colitis UK.As we request no flowers, if you're able to, please donate to these two charities that were close to Philip’s heart.

Goodbye Phil, I shall always remember our games of rugby at Daventry Grammar, County Schoolboys and at Long Buckby. As I shall remember our many evenings out, after reassuring your father that of course I was only going to drink ginger beer because I was driving.
Brilliant memories.
Pop
