In loving memory of Charlie David Boyer-White who sadly passed away on 23rd April 2023. Our handsome boy left us after a short illness, but he had a fulfilled and happy life.
Charlie was studying a BA in Business Management, which he thoroughly enjoyed and was excited about future opportunities that were available to him. During his short time at university he was elected as the course representative.
Although Charlie had a rare debilitating condition Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva, he never let it get him down and developed resilience as his super power. He also loved spending time with his special FOP family.
At home Charlie enjoyed spending time with his parents but more so his sister Rae and his buddy dog Duke.
He loved Wednesday dinner time as Nanna Dragon always made special frilly chips and stewing meat. Both Nanna and Aunty were also responsible for a constant supply of scones and clotted cream (another of Charlie’s favourite foods).
When not studying Charlie had a passion for building Lego and watching Marvel films, getting the whole family involved in his hobbies.

In memory of Charlie please wear colours of red or blue to represent Charlie’s favourite superhero Spiderman
or anything Marvel.

No flowers please just donations to FOP Friends either online or a donation box will be provided..

We have never had the pleasure of meeting Charlie, but Rach has always brought stories of her time with him to our team talks as the very proud auntie of an incredibly funny, dedicated and inspirational young man. Our hearts are with his family, friends and the many people he has touched in his life.

From the day I met Charlie, I was always so excited to see him on holiday and catch up. Just seeing the smile on his face bought me joy but I also had the pleasure of experiencing his cheeky sence of humour and the way he powered on. There is no way I could forget this loudly spoken troublemaker, though sometimes a little bossy he was really an incredibly caring empathetic person who really gave a lot of love to a lot of people. To my dear friend Charlie, I hope you are running and jumping now and I shall continue to be inspired by your courage and persistence. You will always hold a huge place in my heart ❤💙

Sincere condolences to Charlie’s family and friends.
I had the privilege of meeting you during your studies at Derby University. I enjoyed our morning chats when I handed your lecture notes to you before you went to the morning lectures with one of my note-taking Colleagues.
A courteous and considerate young man – rest in peace dear Charlie, you will be very much missed by all. Sam

Out of all the superhero’s that Charlie loved, he’s the only real hero I could ever wish to meet. The strength it took for him to live through what he did every day, and still be the most positive, outgoing, and upbeat person in the room can only be described as superhuman. He also had another superpower where he could somehow work out what cards I had, but thats just called cheating! Chaz will forever be an inspiration and a hero to me and many others I’m sure. Love you mate, and sending all my love to the family too ❤️❤️🕷️

Sincere condolences to all Charlie’s family and friends. I had the pleasure of teaching Charlie at the University of Derby and during this time we developed a lovely relationship and chatted on a regular basis. Charlie loved his studies, always did his best and was always positive and up-beat. He had immeasurable courage and tenacity and did not let his medical condition define him. Charlie's zest for his studies extended beyond the classroom and he was elected as a Course Representative for his student group. Charlie was truly an inspiration to others and will always be remembered for his courage, determination, and caring outlook. Charlie will be greatly missed. With heartfelt sympathy, Anne.
