In loving memory of Terrence Gray Turner (Terry) who sadly passed away on 25th March 2023 after a very short illness. His life spanned nine decades from his childhood in Chichester and the countryside around, work life in Hampshire and abroad and retirement in the village that was his home for more than 50 years, where till his very last days he was still riding around on his bicycle and visiting the community garden. He is now at peace with his beloved wife, Avril.
His funeral will be held on Thursday 11 May at 2pm in the Church of St Mary Magdalen, Sheet, Hampshire GU32 2AQ and afterwards at The Queen's Head, Sheet, across Sheet village green at GU32 2AH. See below for details of a live stream/recording to be made available to those who cannot attend but would wish to be a part of the commemoration. I was so sorry to hear of Terry's passing and send heartfelt condolences to his family. I had the pleasure of working for Terry at Vosper Thornycroft many years ago and have kept in touch at Christmas ever since. I can honestly say he was one of the nicest people I have ever met, always smiling, kind and patient. Terry was an intelligent and interesting man and I was privileged to type his memoir of the 1979 Fastnet race. Rest in peace Terry flower.

Such a lovely photo, Jill, of Terry as I remember him all those decades ago. So sad to hear of his death, but what a wonderful life he had. We've been exchanging notes at Christmas for as long as I can remember, and I'll treasure the image of him riding his electric bike to the community garden. Fond wishes to you and Nigel, Clare
