Our beloved Mum, Vera Yarrow, died on 24 March 2023.
Born in 1937, she was married to John (1935-2017) for over 58 years. She was mother of four, grandmother of nine, and great-grandmother of twelve.
A dedicated home-maker (or 'housewife') and a skilled knitter, she became churchwarden at St Mary's Church, Dover, a position she held for 14 years. As churchwarden she demonstrated a natural talent for administration earning the respect of clergy and her fellow churchwardens. In 2010, when she stood down, she was a recipient of the Town Mayor of Dover's Civic Award for services to the community.
Following a dementia diagnosis in 2012, she retained a cheeky demeanour which endeared her to all who came into contact with her.
We invite you to join us for Vera's funeral on Tuesday 25 April at 12 noon at St Mary's Church, Dover, and for refreshments afterwards in the adjacent parish centre.

In memory of our beautiful Mum and Nannie. You influence and love will live on in the things we say and do. We will miss you forever but are eternally grateful for all the time we spent together, the laughs that we had and all the memories we created.
