Gary, I can't believe you are no longer with us. As a neighbour we had some great chats over the years. The incident with the lorry parked outside will always makes me laugh and I often tell the story! RIP dear friend and say hi to Angela for me ❤️

In loving memory of Gary Treend who sadly passed away on 18th March 2023.
Gary was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to all who knew and loved him. We were blessed to have him in our lives. We are all truly devastated by his passing, and he will be missed, not just today, but everyday. Please feel free to share your memories and/or pay your condolences. If you have any funny or embarrassing stories then I would love to hear those too, as that just shows even more of Gary's personality. He was happy to laugh at someone else, but didn't like it as much when the tables were turned! We're very lucky to have a lot of wonderful memories and we will all be grateful for the special times we shared with him over his lifetime.
Instead of flowers, we are kindly asking for donations to be made to MIND in Gary's memory.
Please remember to tick Gift Aid, if you are a UK tax payer so that the tax is included with your donation and not sent to the tax office. As you may already know, mental health is a minefield of emotions, and the demons that Gary, and countless others, have to deal with on a daily basis are truly awful. Charities like MIND are there to provide the support needed, but sadly, our mental health support network is so overwhelmed, underfunded and understaffed that they just cannot give the help needed by everyone. Don't worry if you are unable to donate online, there will also be a donation box as you exit to the chapel on the day of the funeral.
I would also love for you all to wear something colourful on the day. Gary loved his clothes and always looked smart, but he also loved colour. Blue, pink, green, yellow, orange. The list goes on. So, I’m asking you to please wear something of colour so that this will feel like the true celebration of Gary’s life that it should be. Let’s send him off as he deserves, with love. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜💖

I was sat by the pool in Ibiza reading and kept thinking I was feeling rain. I kept looking up. Eventually I saw a cheeky grin across the pool. Gary with a water pistol. That was my first memory. The first of many happy memories with him!
