Oliver Stanley Richmond (13 Feb 1933 - 12 Oct 2015)

Dear Grandad, AKA Stan The Man.

Grandad you will be missed by all.

I will miss our weekly chats about football and wonder who to call when something contentious happens or a wonderful goal is scored.

I have some incredible memories of you, mainly our trips to watch the England Cricket Team, most notably our trip to the Rose Bowl in 2010 when we saw England Vs Pakistan in an ODI game, the cricket was great however i only remember you having me in stitches with some of your comments throughout that day however due to the nature of them i thinks its best that they stay between us.

I will always remember the family bonfire night held at Coopers lane in Verwood they were always my favorite night of the year.

I will miss talking about your Sea King days and all the rescues you were involved in, you were the best and a legend in my eyes.

I hope you are now with Nan looking down on us all, as i know i will be looking up. I am so proud and pleased to have you as my Grandad, i have always had such respect for you not only for your love and support to the family over the years but for the service you gave to your country.

Love you always, now rest up as when i see you next its going to be a party.

I shall miss our chats about Christmas island as I was always memorized at some of the stories even if I would always ask you about the same ones! As for your love for the pigeons you were simply a legend. Having travelled the south of England taking them training or going with you and dad in the van to get a few bags of corn!

Grandad Taith, I shall cherish the times we spent together down at AFCB (Dean Court), especially the laughs and when Dad and you did the Dean Court Shuffle and also when Dad would mess with your cap. We watched some good seasons together, Dean Court just isn't the same without you. I shall miss phoning you for your match report from Flat 5.

To my dear grandad. I have so many fond memories of you. Even back to the years when I used to come and clean for you in Coronation Road. I enjoyed helping take care of you. You have been there to share all of my special occasions with me and my little family. You have been a wonderful grandad and a great grandad. Noah and Jemima always enjoyed your visits to see them and the cuddles that you gave them. Thank you for always being there, you will be missed so very much by all of us. Rest peacefully. Dearest Dad, you will never know just how much you were loved and will be missed. You always listened, never judged, but just offered support, especially in times of difficulty, you were just always there for each of your children whenever we needed you.
