Dear all,

I'm very sorry to inform you that Mick passed away peacefully, at home on February 25th. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 56 years Ann, his daughter Debby, his son Matthew and his two granddaughters Zoe and Ashley.

As you all know Mick had a keen interest in horse and greyhound racing and often donated to the Injured Jockeys Fund. If you would like to send flowers you are more than welcome, If you would prefer to make a donation in Mick’s memory to his preferred charity you can do that here.

This online obituary has been set up in memory of Mick which includes the funeral details and an area where you can pay your condolences and leave your fond memories from over the years.

Best wishes,
Ann and Family

Approx 53 years ago I worked for Mickey in his shop in Baring Road. I still remember his dulcet tones shouting out "Where ya like, where ya fancy, I'll serve ya cheap, I'll serve ya well, come on people I'll serve ya. RIP Mickey and sleep well. Brian aka Mockers.

Grandad, everyone who knows me knows how much you meant to me, and how heartbreaking it has been to say goodbye.

I am so thankful that I have 35 years of wonderful happy memories with you, from lilo races on holiday, the practical jokes we would play on one another, a trip to the café on Christmas Eve and so many more.

There are so many things I am going to miss, but the thing I am going to miss the most is your quick wit.

Grandad you really was one in a million and I am so thankful that you were ours.

Thank you for everything you ever done for me.

“Remember it’s not goodbye, it’s just I’ll see ya when I see ya”

I will miss you more than you will ever know,

Love you always

Zoe
