Dear Aunty Del
Thank you for blessing me as a child with beautiful memories of your warmth, delicious Caribbean cooking, homemade smarties chocolate cake, and Jamaican patois jokes lol. Your warmth and kindness towards me didn’t fade as I matured, as you always remembered to give Christmas presents, would visit to celebrate with us and bring comfort during tough times, most often with a lovely dish of your cooking. You really have a heart of gold, I’ll miss you dearly. Rest in perfect peace Aunty.

To my aunty Del, my god-mother, a beautiful soul. I am short of words to say, you will be missed. You lived a life full of love and kindness. I have too many fond childhood memories to recall. Playdates, outings, sleepovers, your cooking. I am so grateful for these memories that will always have a place in my heart. We all love you but God loved you more. To my aunt Delores. I will always remember you as a woman who loved her family and her God. These she would not compromise upon. Your dedication to the people you love, is evident in all of us who miss you, whether we were beside you physically or we communicated over the phone, we were never meant to forget that we were family. God has given you rest from your ministry to us all, I thank you.

I can't believe I'm writing this. I feel so lucky to have known you through Sophia. I will always remember when we were at uni and you would call to check in on how Soph was doing. I would take the phone of her and have a lovely chat with you. She would give me this look of "have you finished yet" to which I'd always say nope. I literally could chat to you for ages. I wish things were different and you had longer left. Life isn't fair at times. You've left behind two gorgeous children who are a credit to you. Thank you for being you and for giving me a best friend for life. I promise you that I will make sure your baby girl is OK everyday. You've raised a strong, independent, caring, kind, beautiful lady. Mother like daughter. Rest in Paradise and watch over your babies. Love you Mama Bear xxx all our love Jasmine David Zayden and Amari xxx

Dear Aunty Del,

Where in the world now will I find such a radiant smile and your bubbly personality?

The times that we have shared immortalizes you. And our bond forever remaines inextricable.

This chapter of your beautiful book of life, is the hardest yet to read. But a book I have had the pleasure to experience as a motion picture. As our lives unfolded.

I LOVE You, I will miss you! Until we meet again. Xoxo

You were one of the most loving and caring and giving person I ever knew. Your kind-heartedness and generosity will never be forgotten. The joy and happiness with which you lived your life – always seeing and promoting the positive side of everything – was characteristic of your magnanimous, effervescent personality that made me enjoy being in your presence. I loved you so much and wanted you to stay with us, but God loved you best and took you to be with Him. Rest well, my sister, until we meet again in the Paradise that God has prepared for those who are his children.
