In loving memory of Brian Thomas Cuckow who sadly passed away on 15th January 2023, aged 85 years.

Brian had a lifelong passion for the sea, which was both his life's work and his hobby. He was a ship's captain and a ship owner, successfully trading internationally from the UK. He owned a number of yachts, the last of which "Tonto" he built himself and sailed round Britain twice, once through the Caledonian Canal and once the hard way.

Brian was known for his sense of humour, generosity of spirit and ready laugh. An avid reader and fan of cowboy and western films, he reflected the cowboy lifestyle in his sense of adventure and "can do" approach to life.

Please join the family for a celebration of Brian's life at the Waterfront in Gillingham Marina after the service.

Donations in lieu of flowers in Brian's memory would be gratefully received for the 'Royal National Lifeboat Institution' and may be made online via the link on this page. Alternatively donations may be placed in the donation box which will be provided at the close of the service on the day of the funeral only.
