In loving memory of Margaret Woodward who sadly passed away on 4th January 2023

Mum led a blessed life for 98 years. She was an amazing family person but took on roles outside the family as well. Her life started in Newcastle upon Tyne where she met and married Dad, Patrick Hamilton Woodward - always known as Pat.
They moved to Orpington, Kent, with their 3 children, Carol, Paul and Roz in late 1950's and stayed there until the early 1970's when they moved to Hook Heath, Woking. This is where Mum first became involved with the WRVS.
When they were left the family property in Mudeford they were able to build their dream retirement home with access to Christchurch Harbour. From there Mum became WRVS district organiser, a founder member of FOSM (Friends of Stanpit Marsh) and members of Christchurch Sailing Club. This was a very fulfilling and busy time of their lives alongside an increasing family with 7 grandchildren who adored visiting and spending many happy holidays at Harbour House.
After the death of Pat, Mum decided to move closer to Carol and bought a small flat and was very happy there until ill health forced her move into the wonderful Blenheim Court, Liss. Mum regained her health and had 4 very happy and content years being looked after by the fabulous staff. Unfortunately Mum had a fall in October 22 and although managed to regain strength and was able to walk again, she gradually got weaker until her peaceful passing on 4th January.
You will always be missed, Mum - and don't worry - we will NEVER forget you.

We first met Margaret and Pat when they kindly invited us, together with Andy and Carol, to stay with them in their lovely house Mudeford. Little did we know at the time that, for us, this would start a relationship with Mudeford that would turn into an annual summer holiday with our young grandchildren for the following seven years. The weeks in Mudeford every year generated some wonderful memories watching the children grow up all as a result of Margaret and Pat's generous hospitality
