Peacefully at Sycamore Lodge after a long illness on December 21st aged 87 years, Shirley (nee Johnson). The dearly loved wife of the late Dave. A much loved mam to David and Carol and a dear mother-in-law to Julia and Ben. A devoted nana to Gary, Gavin, Matthew, Andrew and Edward and a loving great nana. A loved sister-in-law, aunty, cousin and a dear friend to many. Friends please meet on Monday January 23rd for a service in St Aidan’s Church, Grangetown at 10:45am. Committal to follow in Sunderland Crematorium. All are welcome afterwards to the Rosedene for refreshments. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu of flowers towards the work of Grace House. A donation box will be provided at the church. All enquiries to Andrew Grey Funeral Directors, 30 Station Road, Hetton-Le-Hole, Tel: 0191 5265800. Loved and remembered always.

Cousins by blood, but friends by choice. Many happy memories of the times we spent together throughout our lives. I will miss your happy face and kind nature Shirley. Thinking of you David, Carol and families. Love Joan.
