Garry Jacobs (26 Mar 1947 - 17 Dec 2022)

It is with great sadness that the family of Garry Jacobs announces his passing following a brief illness on December 17th at the age of 75.

Garry passed away peacefully at Medway Maritime hospital and will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 36 years Lesley, his children Clare, Helen and Christopher and his grandchildren Cruz, Alesha and Aria. He is now reunited with his two sons Stephen and Andrew.

Garry was born in Sittingbourne to Emily and Fred and attended the Westlands School For Boys where he loved all aspects of school life becoming chess champion participating in gymnastics and trampolining. His love of art and design took him to Medway College of Art and into the print trade where he worked for many years as a compositor and keyboard operator. His life then changed direction and he turned his hand to various artisan crafts and craft fair organising.

Following early retirement on health grounds Garry discovered a new passion for gardening. Over the last 20 years he has spent many hours cultivating his beloved allotments winning many awards for his wonderful plots.
