As my daughter has just started brownies, it made me think about my time in girlguiding and what a wonderful person Mrs Noy was in my life. I only have happy memories of my time in guides with Mrs Noy, and it certainly shaped the person I am today. I am sorry to hear of her passing, but her memory lives on in lots of former girl guides (this one now in her 40s!) Much love to her family and friends.

Lesley Wood donated in memory of Mary

I knew Mary through Guiding and ran Haughley Guides with her for a while. Mary was always helpful, generous and kind, she lived her life according to the old Guide Law. Deepest sympathy to Eric and her family.

I am privileged to have not only met both Mary and Eric and one of the daughters during a period of around 1998 ISH when I was working away and needed a very quiet charming place to stay when visiting my daughter's locally.
Such a wonderful caring family and the conversation over a cup of tea and a breakfast full of knowledge and so so interesting. The couple always had time for me as did her daughter. Held in high regard by the community and with such charm Mary became one who reminded me so much of my grandmother.
My dearest thoughts of her will remain and I know she will be sadly missed by family but church going friends alongside myself. Never to be forgotten always to remembered as a most welcoming lady xx
