John you would have been so proud of your Gilly. She ran the London Marathon in your honour and did you proud (as usual). As you know she never gives up and carried on till the end with her usual big grin on her face. You was with her all the way round ....well in your green mini. Xxxxx

I found this obituary whilst trying to find John’s details for my sons lessons.
He taught me many years ago, he was such a wonderful man I knew when my son came of age I would want him to be taught by him. He spoke about his family a great deal. I always recall how proud he was of his daughter who played football, he would always tell me about her matches.
RIP John you was an amazing man.

John was such a loving caring man I have alot to thank him for especially me passing my driving test like he told everyone I was a nightmare in my first lesson stopping the car near to tears because a car drove behind me. But he soon got me back by drinking down the pub and wanting lifts home because as he said if it wasn't for him I wouldn't be able to drive. He love all his girls so much I heard all the storied and he shared how much you all meant to him. He is looking down and protecting you all I know that for sure xx

John,
Not only my driving Instructer but also my friend.
Such heartbreaking news, I still can’t believe it.
You was one of a kind, an old school gentlemen, always had a story to tell making me laugh, and also praised and spoke so highly of your beautiful wife and family.
I will miss seeing your Mini Cooper around and you waving at me. Wearing your red jumper and shorts in all weathers lol.
When I’m driving and I panic I still think to this day what would John tell me to do. Forever grateful to you.
May you rest forever in peace ❀️
Your friend, Paris Quinn xx

If my love could have saved you you would have lived forever. Heartbroken and it will never heal. My life will never be the same again as loosing you has left a hole in mine and my babies life that can never be filled. You loved them unconditional never told them off always said yes and they loved to sit up in your arms where they felt they were safe with there grandad. I have gone through life shielded by them same arms and with love and never really known heartache or wanted for anything as you took care of everything to prevent that. My life will have this area of sadness forever now because I will never laugh the same as I did with you. I will promise to keep you alive in my house and in my heart. This isn’t forever dad it’s just for now and I know in my heart or heart I don’t fear dying now because I know we will be reunited again and there is not anyone else I will want to see waiting for me at them gates. The biggest gentleman I will ever ever know. How lucky am I to have had you as my dad. Through choice as well. You chose me. To love and care for the way you did. I am so lucky for you I love you forever and always my favourite person my dad my life . I will look after mum for you now unconditionally never worry about that she is with me 24/7.
