Very sad to hear that Uncle Trevor Merrie passed away.
Strangely enough, almost exactly the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.
Always had a good time with Uncle Trevor when I was in GB at Hetton Big Club having a bit of banter and playing pool against him - we were evenly matched.
As a child, I remember that he was an avid painter - the egg shells he painted for Easter - were exceptional.
And, don't forget the mental Merrie humour.
If I remember correctly, I phoned me mam from NL in the early 80s. She told me that Ikea opened in Sunderland. The families went there for an afternoon. Apparently, when they left the building, Uncle Trevor turned around at the exit and started shouting at a cardboard cut-out of a person - something like "Never coming back here again - bloody rubbish".
Brilliant.
Uncle Trevor, you will be missed.
Lots of love and strength for
Aunty Enid, Peter, Keith, David, Sharon,
Aunty Anne Smith, mam Priscilla Box, Aunty Dorothy, Uncle Kenneth,
And all family and friends et al.
Love Mick (Michael) and daughter Anastasia Box .❤️xxx
