A lovely friend that will be sadly missed

In memory of my friend Gerry, particularly remembering the fun times we had together on our annual visits to the Past Lady Captains competitions around Kent.

Sorry I can’t be at the funeral Grandma I’m sure you understand but if your watching over me which I’m sure you are I hope somehow you can see this. All I can say is thank you for being the person you was. You helped create so many memories throughout my childhood and adult life which I will hold dear forever. You took the time to ask about me and how I was and most importantly how I was feeling which is something I will never forget. Always made me feel welcome and loved and always someone I looked up to in so many ways. When my son is born if he is half the person you was I will be over the moon. You battled hard over and over and although your time on earth has come to a end. I echo what many of us think and that is a piece of you will stay with us forever. You was one of a kind Grandma. You don’t have to fight anymore rest easy until we meet again I love you with all my heart Sam xxxxxx

In memory of our very dear and special friend Geraldine. Along with Peter she was always stimulating company. We will very much miss her friendship, her enormous sense of fun and laughter and of course her strife and determination through all her difficulties.

Our lives are better for having Gerry as a friend, a truly sad loss.

Fondest memories of all we did together. Meals in, meals out, our drinking sessions via Zoom in lockdown and of course golf. You were always so keen and steady, a real asset to any team
You battled your illness so bravely over the many years.
We will miss you greatly.

A lovely lady and a wonderful grandmother always took time to play games and spend time as a kid, always there if you needed to talk and made the only runner beans I’ll ever eat I’ll miss out chats and all the bungs she provided for the classy cfc gone but never forgotten thank you for all you did you’ll always be in my thoughts god bless sleep well see you on the other side grandma love you forever and always xxx
