In loving memory of Richard Peter Saga Bond who sadly passed away on 10th September 2015 while enjoying a holiday in Malta.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, and we will all miss him deeply. Please join us to celebrate the happiest man that we all loved.

Richard hated black clothing, and owned many purple shirts! We would love if people would dress in colour, especially purple, but if this is not something you feel right for you, he would understand!

  • This was taken as our lastphoto with everyone at Nanas' before my Dad, Mum and my family left for the UK. Aunty Marie and Uncle Dick and family lived next door. It was in 1964. Here is the list of people in that photo. Very back row - Philip Sancho, Aunty Mary, Uncle Dick, Aunty Maureen, my Mum and my brother Layland who was only a baby. Next row down - The Ayah (she was Nana's and Aunty Marie's servant and she did all the cooking and cleaning). Next to her is my elder sister Jean, Aunty Marie carrying Andrea, Uncle Donald Cully (Nana's brother) and Doug Sancho. Next row down standing is Richard, my sisters Pearl, Bernadine and Shirley. Sitting down is me (with the lazy left eye which thankfully I learned how to control), Aunty Edna (Phil and Doug's Mum), Raine and Lester. At the very bottom is Nana (your greatgrandma) but I don't know the name of the Burmese lady next to her. I think my Dad took the photo.xxx

My dear cousin Bondy. Happy childhood memories playing together and getting into trouble in Rangoon at Nanna's and when you spent school holidays with us in Thingangyun. Howling with laughter at Uncle Ray's antics when he got "merry" at "Family Do's" in Sheffield. You teasing us about our Sheffield accents and us calling you "Cockney". Will always smile when I think of you. Rest in peace dear cousin, taken away too soon. Forever in our hearts.

Dear Richard, i've only just come across this page. I would just like to say I will always remember the laughs we had way back when you was married to Louise. You always let my children stay the night at your place with Paul, leanne and david. They always had loads of fun and remember you with a lot of fondness. Rest in peace dear Richard, gone way to soon. Love to you from Valerie, Claire and Mark xxx
