In loving memory of Graham Ronald Field who sadly passed away on 26th September 2022.
Graham was much loved and will be sadly missed by all those he left behind, especially by his mum, wife and daughter. He had great independence of mind, with strong views on things he cared about, and he was not afraid to speak out. He was a barber in his later years after a long time as a ladies' hairdresser, and his clients have told me that they enjoyed talking with him, him speaking about books, current affairs, general knowledge, travelling, all while he cut their hair, a 'breath of fresh air' as one of them put it.
Instead of sending flowers for his funeral, it would be his wish for donations to be made to the chosen charities instead. We know that these two charities were particularly relevant for Graham as he had two serious brushes with both of these illnesses in the past and present.
So, if you feel like we do and wish to support Cancer Research UK or the British Heart Foundation, a donation in Graham's name would be the best thing that you could do to raise funds for future research.
