Dearest Evelyn and Kar Han, sending love and hugs. I first met Nicholas on one of the ZI trips. We were riding in a van and there were these 3 little boys looking v serious and on perfect behaviour. I said something absurd hoping to bring a smile. Only Nicholas responded with a grin and chirpy remark. His 2 brothers remained serious. I can’t remember what I said or what Nicholas said but thought to myself, “I like this kid. He has a sense of humour.” God has given Nicholas another assignment so he could shine his light where he is needed more and no doubt Nicholas will meet you and his brothers in a field of flowers and sunshine, one day. Your friends here hold the both of you and Nicholas’s brothers in our Love and hope that will bring you a tiny bit of comfort. Much love, Lee Kheng.

May the stars shower you with comfort and may the flowers fill your heart with peace.

Nicholas was a cheerful, amiable and well mannered young man. Always with a smile and helpful, he had won the hearts of everyone. He will be dearly missed by us all but we are comforted to know that he is now in the arms of our Father God.

We have all been extremely saddened to hear of Nicholas’ passing. I’m grateful that our family has such good memories of Nicholas as he was truly a good friend and he made our Christmas truly special. He was always smiling, so enthusiastic about his studies and was always eager to hear what we were up to. I am awfully saddened that I will be unable to say my final goodbye in person, we were all so lucky to have known you.
I would like to thank Christopher also, for personally reaching out.
Your family remains in our thoughts and prayers and we all wish them strength and comfort in this difficult time.
Rest in peace Nicholas.

It brings me much sadness to know that Nicholas, a bright young man who had so much in front of him and who was deeply loved by his family had departed. Kar Han treated some of his lawyers like his children and would have much deeper love for all his children. My deepest condolences to Kar Han, Evelyn and his family

I have been deeply saddened by Nicholas's passing. When I first met him, he told me about his keen interest in antibiotic resistance research, which is what he worked on in my group. He also told me how happy he was to be in this programme. He was a friendly and warm person, always with smile on his face. This is how I will remember him. He has left far too early, and I wish the Lim family strength and peace in the times ahead.
