In loving memory of Susan Mather who sadly passed away on 13th September 2022

Beloved wife of Bob, mother of James, Rosie and Holly, devoted Grandma.

Sue was born Susan Parsons much loved daughter of Robert and Joan.
Sue was the Niece of Ken and Marney, George and May, Don and Joy, all of whom loved and cared for her when she sadly lost her parents by the age of only 16.

She was the kindest, most loving and caring person, always there for family, suffering chronic back pain for years, she never allowed it to affect her wonderful sense of humour, nor the generous way she treated us all.

Sue always gave people the benefit of the doubt, never judging, instead forgiving and believing that there is good to be found in all people, if we just look for it.

Sue was always there for her children, nurturing their imaginations, knowing that by doing so, they would become adults with vision.

She adored all her grandchildren, and so wanted to see them grow older, and to continue being a part of their lives.

As a young lady, Sue loved walking with her boxer dogs, so much that she had an ambition to walk the whole coast of Britain.

We believe that Sue with that beautiful smile of hers, will now be walking the coast of heaven looking down watching over us all with her loving eyes. She takes with her all our love, to hold, until the time comes that we can all once again share it together. We shall all meet again someday. God bless. ♥️🌹🌻

Such a lovely person. How I wish I had known Sue and Robert much earlier in life.

To our wonderful Grandma;

A great Grandma, we loved so much,
You took the time to talk and play.
We loved to visit and spend time with you,
Whether a little walk or a fun park day.

You always gave us the best biscuits,
And listened to what we had to say,
You’re love for us was clear to see,
And we loved you every day.

You always gave the best cuddles and hugs,
And a carrot cake you did love,
All the memories we will treasure,
As we think of you up in heaven above.

Love you always 💕

To Our One in a Million Mum;

A beautiful, kind & Gentle soul,
Your love and patience always showed,
Beautiful eyes so honest and true,
A beautiful smile which almost glowed.

Always there to listen and care,
To hold our hands and guide the way.
Warm-hearted, honest and beautiful,
How you fought so hard to stay.

But God could see you getting tired,
And there was not a cure to see,
So he put his arms around you,
And he whispered “come with me”.

With tearful eyes we stayed with you,
We held your hand as you drifted away,
Despite our wishes and our prayers,
It was Gods plan and you could not stay.

Your golden heart stopped beating,
All your pain was laid to rest.
God broke our hearts to show,
He only chose to take the best.

Although you’re now in heaven,
I know we’ll never be apart,
You’re with us in our memories,
And forever in our hearts. ❤️

All our love, Rosie, Holly and Jim

There are no words, in any language, that can in any way, express the loss I feel.

We met at Scarborough by a chance walk along the cliff tops. We were introduced when two enormous paws almost knocked me over. I will be eternally grateful to her boxer dog, "Parsons", for without her, we might have just walked past each other with a passing hello. Perhaps it was divine intervention, but it started the best 50 years of our lives together.

I shall miss her keen mind which brought clarity and wisdom so many times. Her sense of humour was amazing and I will miss her smile so very much.

Sue is, the love of my life, my best friend ever, and my soul mate.

She completed my sentences, filled the gaps in my memories, she also filled my heart which now has an emptiness which hurts.

Sue was a fantastic mum, and has given me three of the best ever young people I know. They are the wonderful people they are today because of the love, help and motherly guidance she always spent the time to give them, she lives on in each of them.

She was a loving grandma and loved our grandchildren so very much her excitement was visible whenever she was with them.

My wonderful gorgeous kind and loving girl, until we are together again, take all my love with you and hold it tight so we can again share it in that beautiful place♥️ forever yours, your Bobby xxx.

To our wonderful Mum.

You were someone we could count on,
To listen and to care,
You were always there when needed,
With good advice to share,
It was wonderful to know,
That you were always on our side,
You were our inspiration, Mum
Our teacher and our guide.

Love from Holly, Rosie and Jim xxx
