In loving memory of Stanley Maurice Childs who sadly passed away on 3rd August 2022.

Stan worked hard predominantly as a factory-based worker all his life, working shifts in places such as printing firms and was a book binder by trade. He also worked at Lotus Cars in Wymondham on the production line. He has always had a love of all things automotive and would happily spend hours tinkering under the bonnet of his and his families’ cars. He has also owned scooters and bikes and even took his wife Jenn out for rides on them in their younger days.

Stan was a very sociable man and would talk to anyone. He was very mild mannered and quiet until he found something in common with someone, then there was no stopping him. He loved all things comedy and would ask Alexa multiple times a day to tell him a joke. At home, Stan would always be found pottering outside doing jobs around the garden and relished an opportunity to fix anything that needed fixing. In his older years, Stan enjoyed exploring the local countryside on walks with a rambler’s group. When he rested, he would be found in ‘dad’s chair’ watching any type of sport or documentary on the TV.

Stan had bravely battled Parkinson's disease for many years. It's a charity close to the hearts of his family. If anyone wishes to make a donation in honour of Stan, it would help contribute to much needed research on better treatment for the condition.
