In loving memory of David George Whiteley, who sadly passed away on 29th August 2022. A much-loved Son, Brother, Uncle and recently Great Uncle. He was a great friend and colleague to countless people and his passing leaves a huge hole in so many lives. He will be sadly missed.
We ask for donations in lieu of flowers to St. Gemma’s Hospice.

David will be hugely missed by all at VSCC. He had endless patients with my questionable cycling skills. He was a great ride leader & was so encouraging to others. I was away & missed the service (though managed to catch a little on-line) & memorial ride. However I'll be riding his route to Bolton Abbey this Saturday & treasuring my memories of our last ride together.

Goodbye Dave, I’m so sorry you are no longer here. Valley striders cycling club have lost a generous and patient ride leader. I will miss your company on cycle rides, your sense of adventure, your readiness to listen to others and words of wisdom when we spoke about work. I think of you when I cycle home along the part of the route we used to share. Thank you for the photos (of bins!) and all of your encouragement.
