In loving memory of Jennifer Childs who sadly passed away on 27th July 2022.

Jenn worked many years as a bank cashier. The customers were fond of Jenn, with her beaming smile and friendly, warm chats, not to mention her sense of humour. She was always known for her glamourous outfits and immaculate hair and makeup.

Jenn was a modern but traditional lady. She had many interests over the years, trying her hand at different pastimes such as knitting and embroidery, making her own clothes, reading, puzzles and anything that kept the brain young. Jenn liked to challenge herself, especially for the benefit of her family and and signed up to complete some further education to support her daughter in school. Jenn also learnt to horse-ride and rose both in her 20s and 60s!

Jenn was always younger in her ways and would always gravitate towards younger people, resisting getting older all the way. Chantal and her mum shared a very special mother-daughter relationship. The age gap between them was never present and they connected like best friends. Jenn also loved her animals and especially her beloved Suki and Darla.

Jenn and her family have always had kidney and specifically vasculitis charities close to their hearts as Jenn had a long history with both. Although originally we were taking donations for Kidney Research, we have now decided to change this to Vasculitis UK as it is directly linked to what she went through.

If you would like to make a donation in Jenn's honour to Vasculitis UK, it would contribute to bringing a greater awareness to diseases that affect the kidneys.

No more worries for you Jenn. We met at Wensum Lodge in September 1998 and a few of us have enjoyed meeting up for a drink, scones, and a natter a few times during the year, for the last 24 years.
