Suddenly but peacefully in hospital on July 12th aged 77 years, Doug. The dearly loved husband of Norah (formerly Snowdon). A much loved husband of the late Angela. A loved step-dad, grandad, a devoted GG (great grandad) and a loved brother of Alan. Friends please meet on Tuesday August 2nd for a service in the Independent Methodist Church, South Hylton at 10.30am. Committal to follow in Sunderland Crematorium. No black clothing by request, please feel free to wear clothing that people are comfortable in. All are welcome afterwards to the Hastings Hill for refreshments. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if so desired the Leukemia Unit, Sunderland Royal Hospital. A collection box will be provided in the church.
