Maria Angela Johnson (14 Sep 1935 - 13 Jul 2022)

In loving memory of Angie Johnson who sadly passed away on 13th July 2022.
Angela was a loving wife to Tony Johnson. She was also, the devoted mother of two daughters, Suzanne and Belinda.
Born during the Spanish revolution in a small village outside of Malaga, Angie had an older sister and two brothers. From the age of three Angie was raised in a convent where she stayed until the age of eighteen.
She moved to Scotland as a young woman as an au pair, caring for two young children. After two years she moved to Skegness to work in the Chatsworth Hotel. There she was treated as one of the family by Joyce and Geoff Wright and her family, the hotel owners.
While in Skegness she met a rebellious young man on a motorbike, who swept her off her feet. Tony and Angela were married for fifty-eight years.
Tony and Angela later made the decision to move to Doncaster with their young family, where they were happy, and helped to raise their five grandchildren
Although life was not always easy, Angie had a great faith in God which lifted her above life's trials and was a source of great strength for herself and to others.
She was loved, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
May she at last rest in peace.
