Dennis was an admirable man of many talents and accomplishments. We will all miss his twinkling eyes, perceptive wit, insightful observations, and that lovely little moustache-twitching curl of an emerging smile as he was about to deliver a bon mot. We were very fortunate to have him with us for such a long time, and will miss his wisdom and his presence.

Dennis Wilson was a great man who served his country with courage and distinction and is one of our major poets whom we had the great privilege to publish and bring to the public's attention. Rest In Peace Tim Crook and Marja Giejgo.

When I moved to Southampton, Dennis welcomed me like family, even though the connection was distant. I loved visiting him; and he was such a gracious host and wonderful and entertaining conversationalist. I also enjoyed getting to know his close family, and send John, Tricia, Jonathan and Tim my love and deepest condolences.

We have had the privilege of knowing Dennis for well over fifty years. His kindness and integrity are something that we will never forget along with his smile and great sense of humour.

So many an hour we spent together discussing his love of Poetry, his own Poems, the ups and downs of the Saints, politics, the plight of peoples around the world and so much more.

It is difficult to image a world without Dennis, but we feel blessed to have known him for so long and a huge thanks to his family, John, Tricia Jonathan and Timothy for sharing their
Father / Grand Farther with us.

Our sincere condolences to you all for your loss.

I have known Dennis - find it hard to call him that as he was always Tricia's dad or Mr Wilson - for many years as I was at school with his daughter. When I was young he always seemed friendly and kind, yet unassuming. Only more recently did I find out what a truly amazing man he was - and what an amazing life he had led. I am proud to have known him.
