It is with great sadness that we announce the death of the Rev Canon Maurice Arthur JENNETT who passed peacefully into the arms of his Lord and saviour on 1st July 2022 surrounded by family in Scarborough Hospital.
Beloved husband of 60 years to Joyce; father to Nigel, Tim and Sue; father-in-law to Jane, Heather and Warwick. Much loved Grandpa to Amy, Matthew and Lucy; Anna and Simon; Naomi and Rhiannon.
The funeral service will take place on Thursday 14th July at 3pm in St Martin's Church, Seamer YO12 4PS followed by a private family cremation.
Refreshments afterwards will be at Dulverton Hall, Esplanade, Scarborough YO11 2AR. All are welcome.

Sending condolences to Maurice's family who I'm sure will miss him greatly. We were members of Stranton church in the 1980s where under Maurice's leadership we learned so much and enjoyed our time there .Maurice baptised our 2 oldest children, confirmed my ex husband and I and blessed our marriage. So many happy memories and we kept in touch until last Christmas. RIP

My condolences to you Joyce, Nigel, Susan, Tim and all the household as you mourn Maurice's presence in your life. He had a generous and eager heart for the carpenter and his evangel. I know how deeply he will be missed by each one of you - we are complex beings us mortals, and the wounds of parting are never easy xx🙏🏼

We might meet again ;-)
Always enjoyed our encounters and friendship while you served in Nyanga, Zimbabwe. Loved your ability to laugh at my leg pulling, your sincerity, conviction and spirit of service. While you've gone on ahead, there is no real separation. Joyce, your partner in every sense of the word, and methinks it was a shared vocation, and the rest of us while missing you are very much with you in spirit and you with us.
it was an honour that we shared the road for a while. Our Love to Joyce and the family also.
