Raymond George Belson (27 Aug 1937 - 9 Jun 2022)

In loving memory of Raymond George Belson who sadly passed away on 9th June 2022 peacefully at his home in Strood.
Ray was born in Gillingham, Kent and later moved to Strood where he met and married Mary. They had one son Philip.
Ray loved the country way of life and should have worked the land but wages were too poor so he ended up working with wood as a sawyer. He often went fishing, cycling, caravanning and even scrumping, he was still scrumping in his late 70’s. Neighbours talk about how often Ray helped them with odd jobs around their houses and how he always had the right tool for every job.
Ray will be sadly missed by many, RIP in eternal peace.
