'Be more Paul'

Adored Dadda, Popar/Pumpa, friend, brother, doctor, and all round bloody LEGEND! Paul was a true trailblazer in both his professional and personal life - dedicating himself to the needs of others way, way above himself (even in his darkest moments) & a with a constant love of expression through creativity, and lifelong learning.

Thank you for taking the time to celebrate all that was so wonderful about this man - his dry wit, intelligence, emotional generosity of spirit, and enduring love. Paul's family take huge comfort from the outpouring of love dad was shown in his illness, and now in his passing. He touched so many lives, and the happy memories shared will be passed down to his grandchildren so they can always know what an incredible, complex, generous man he was.

His loss on this earth makes the world a poorer place, and he will be missed forever.

Paul, showed me so much support through my nurse training when I was floundering. Such a genuine person. People like Paul remind me to be a better person.

Thank you for the way you made me feel…. Seen, heard and validated. It meant the world. If we had more of you there would be less homeless people on our streets.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

All my love

Stacey x

We said goodbye today Paul and you will be so missed by so many people.

I have loads of memories of Paul, but one of the most comical had to be when he offered to pick some clothes up for me when I was unwell, and he rocked up at the hospital with pajamas and underwear and slippers. None of which were mine. He’d managed to rifle through the wrong Charley’s room in the student accommodation block and collected a student’s clothes for me. Helen Dickens then made a washing line of pants for when he came back into the office.

Paul loved so, so hard - Solie & Thea and his grandchildren - but what a legacy he leaves behind, with thousands of nursing students influenced by him to be the best they could be, and to always be kind.

Sadly missed xxx

This is so sad. Paul was a great comfort and support to me when I hit a bad patch in my training. A wonderful, friendly and compassionate man, who really made me feel I could be a grest Nurse.

Paul Can't add much to all the other comments except to say you were a great buddy and confidante over many years, if sometimes a tad annoying. Lynda and I will both miss you greatly.
