In loving memory of William Christopher Huff 'Chris' who sadly passed away on 18th May 2022
Chris was born in Houston, TX on December 7th 1971 to parents Betty and William Floyd Huff. His father died when Chris was in his early 20s.
Chris graduated from Memorial High TX in 1990 where he was a member of the school choir.
He attended University of Houston, where he studied Italian and English Literature before going to Vanderbilt University to complete a Masters Degree in Comparative Literature.
Chris spoke fluent French, Italian, Spanish, German in addition to English.
Chris married Jacqui in 2007 and they moved to Calne, UK in 2010. Chris has a brother, Carter, who lives in Austin TX with his wife, Sara and daughter Iris. Chris’s mom, Betty, lives in Texas in the family home.
He worked for the NHS as a Senior IT Service Desk Analyst at the time of his death.
Chris had many health issues in his life, starting with cancer aged 18. He never allowed this to control his life and achieved a lot, travelling, studying, experiencing life to the full. He was diagnosed with oropharyngeal cancer in 2020 and was successfully treated following a funding campaign. Sadly, he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia in March 2022 and treatment was not successful. Following a short period of time at home from hospital, he passed away with his wife at his side.
Chris was very much loved and will be deeply missed by those who knew him. His warmth and humanity are qualities so needed and his loss will be felt by so many.

Dearest Jacqui, l lit a candle during Chris's funeral service yesterday. I've heard so much about what an exceptional human being Chris was.
