Couldn't have gone better !!!! Ian gave it such a personal touch that people were asking if he knew Dad. Eternally grateful ! And the comfort of leaving dad with such a open minded kind people made the run up to the funeral raised . Highly recommend

A search on the Internet for a simple non religious cremation from a local funeral director, and we (luckily)found Mr George. A couple of  phone calls and emails exchanged with one meeting and everything was arranged.
In Mr George's experienced hands we we efficiently yet gently led through the process without being bombarded with superfluous information and choices, following our thoughts he suggested a lovely piece of music which on the day was simply perfect. Our wish for the cremation to take place promptly was facilitated by Mr George, he secured a date in a local cemetery within 10 days of my father's passing. 
On a personal note, when we met Mr George, we found him to have a warm friendly character with just the right degree of compassion,  we immediately felt comfortable and confident he would 'look after things' for us. And he did, everything just progressed smoothly, without worry.
Having met me and my brother just once and never knowing Dad, from a bulletpoint list of Dads dates and achievements, he offered to lead a simple service, which initially we didn't think we needed, however the words he put together just hit the right note and gave the event a structure which we and the guests appreciated.
No hesitation in recommending Ian George (Funerals) Ltd.

Ian and I are becoming friends! I have had to use his services 3 times in the past 2 1/2 years. I cant speak highly of enough of his kindness and professionalism.
The way Ian dealt with the funeral of my husband with such kindness and care, even doing the eulogy, and people commented what a beautiful service it was and so personal.
When my father died in 2015 and then my mother at the end of last year I had no hesitation in asking Ian to deal with their funerals and again Ian handled things with care and compassion. Thanks very much Ian and I would not hesitate to recommend your services to everyone.

Ian made the whole process easy, and was an absolute joy to deal with from start to finish.  The speeches he gave (my mother didn't want a vicar, as my father wasn't a religious man) were absolutely wonderful. He spoke with such eloquently it was like he was actually a friend of the family.  I couldn't not recommend him, his business or his services highly enough

I cannot commend Ian high enough for the exemplary care, compassion, guidance and understanding that he showed the family throughout the arrangements and ceremony. Ian helped us through this time of sadness and treated my much-loved, departed brother with dignity and respect. I was completely clueless as to what I needed to do but Ian made everything so easy at a very difficult time. From the first 'phone call on a Sunday morning, he was always available, easy to talk to and professional, offering guidance but never taking over. Eddie's life was unique and his farewell reflected that. Thank you Mr. George!

I had a list of funeral directors in Cheltenham to ring, but as soon as I spoke to Ian, I knew I didn't need to ring anyone else. He also quoted a very fair price.  He was very helpful in all the matters before the funeral and he and his team couldn't have been better on the day.  Very highly recommended, thank you Ian.

Very professional but felt quite personal which must be difficult to achieve.  
One thing that I think was missed was the collection at the ceremony for Cancer Research UK?  Hopefully people have given on Ian George's website.
