We were able to celebrate Dad's life in a very personal way which was so important to us and we couldn't have done that without the support Anthony, Chris and all the team at Nicholas O'Hara. In a very emotional time they became part of the family and no question or request was too much trouble.

Nicholas O'Hara carried out all the funeral arrangements for my Mother with dignity, kindness and thoughtfulness. Everything ran smoothly on the day which helped such a lot. The Order of Service was prepared beautifully and there were several personal touches which meant a lot during a difficult time.

My two sons and I were most impressed by the way Nicholas O'Hara Funeral Directors Ltd responded quickly to the initial telephone call, communicated regularly and handled the funeral arrangements in an efficient and sympathetic manner. The leader of the service at the Poole Crematorium was of great support to us and could easily have been part of the family. We can definitely recommend this company.

The help, compassion and attention to detail received during the preparation and planning of Roger's funeral was second to none, really excellent.  The detail and professionalism on the day of the funeral was fantastic and we knew that the day would proceed seamlessly as a result of the attention to detail shown by Kerry at all times, Kerry was excellent and we would recommend the services of Nicholas O'Hara funeral directors to anyone needing such a service. Many thanks Ann Morgan

Everyone has been understanding and caring to us. We have had everything taken care of with complete competence and confidence. The whole process has been seamless. We will be happy to recommend your service to anyone who has lost a love one.

Nicholas O'Hara were very professional from the moment they attended in the early hours of the morning until they returned our family members to the wake. All The O'Hara staff were respectful and attentive as they guided us through the process with care and consideration. The celebrant, Chris Antell, was a lovely man who did Doug proud. We were very pleased with the way he conducted the service and made it a very special and memorable occasion for all.  Nicholas O'Hara provided an excellent funeral service. Far more than we could have ever expected. Thank you.

Nicholas O'Hara  made the whole funeral process as painless as possible.  Friendly,  sympathetic,  yet utterly professional at all times.  Nothing was too much trouble. The service went very well and many guests were very complimentary,  especially impressed with the warmth and kind words from Chris the celebrant  !. A beautiful send off for our mum.

Made organising a funeral long distance easy. Very professional, personal and supportive including phone calls checking that I was OK & didn't have any questions & assuring me all was done their end. All ran very smoothly on the day, a friendly & caring staff. The funeral celebrant was excellent, made it a very personal service & you wouldn't have known that he didn't know the deceased.  A sad occasion made bearable.

Your staff Kerry and Chris are professional, empathetic and a real asset to your business. The drivers and pallbearers make everyone feel safe and cared for. The level of service, understanding and kindness are unsurpassable. People who attended the service thought it was fantastic and felt as if all involved had personally know the family for many years. Your cars are unique and add a special class to the occasion. They are a mark of the celebration of someones life and not a mournful sight. The fact that Kerry is a young attractive, extremely well turned out woman, helps add to your unique service. I would like to especially thank Kerry Chris and the pallbearers for allowing and assisting my 15 year old son to help carry his Grandma to her resting place. They were all extremely supportive. I would highly recommend your services to anyone who asked. There are not enough thank you's to cover our appreciaton. Amanda Paul and Callum Grubb

Our funeral for Dad was by necessity, organised from a distance.... We lived in Nottingham and Dad in Bournemouth. Anthony did a superb job for my Mother, and once again, even though the logistics were difficult, and at times the paperwork and burocracy tedious, he once again did a superb job.  Everything went as it should, very smoothly. Thanks you to you and your team Anthony.

I cannot fault anything about this very professionally run company. Chris who dealt with my Grandfsthers funeral was an absolute star who made the whole process so easy. I would recommend O'Hara to anyone who wishes the best for a deceased relative. Thank you for making something so sad a positive ending.

Credit must go to O'Hara's for employing Sue and Chris. They have been so helpful over this difficult period. Sue looked after Margaret prior to the funeral, and nothing was too much trouble for her. Chris took the service for Margaret, at the crematorium. Despite never having met Margaret, his description of her life was spot-on. All of the friends and relatives of Margaret were so impressed. The rest of the members of staff worked to the same high standards. The company has a very high standard of care and consideration for its clients and their families.

Nick and his team could not have been kinder with organising and preparing us all for mums funeral. She was treated with the dignity and send off she thoroughly deserved. Although it was a difficult time we were treated with nothing but kindness, patience and thorough professionalism from start to finish and beyond. We all feel she would have been proud of her send off as she was with dear dads almost six years ago.Thank you

Kerry was our funeral director who was totally amazing . She treated my daughter with the utmost respect and went out of her way to help us in any way she could . I can highly recommend Kerry and should I pass in the near future I want to be taken to Nicolas Ohara even though I live in Kent .

Before choosing Nicholas O'hara,I had observed the Company as being a professionally run outfit from their advertising material, quality of their cars, reputation etc. This was subsequently endorsed by our experience of their planning and delivery of the services they provide. The company's recommended Celebrant was the 'icing on the cake' of a very successful event on the day itself. Hopefully we will not need the services of a Funeral Director again for some considerable time but would have no hesitation in using the Company if and when the need arises. Thanks for a job well done.

  • 5 Gail Powell 16th Mar 2016

The O'Hara "Our family is here for your family" motto could not be more appropriate. When we suffer a loss to experience such warm, professional support is truly appreciated. All those with whom we were in contact felt just like an extension to our family during a period that can so often be a cold, isolated experience. Aunt Margaret's service was a joyous occasion, as was our Mothers', less than a year ago - O'Hara's staff are "gifted"

  • 5 David Humphrey 18th Feb 2016

Many thanks to all concerned for all that was done to make a sad day go so well. The initial advice, the organisation and finally the funeral service itself could not have been bettered and it was all very much appreciated by the family.

My choice of O'Haras was initially because they were the only ones to answer the phone, personally, rather than a machine, on a Saturday evening, when my mother had passed at home. They arrived within an hour to collect mum and from the outset were kind, thoughtful, respectful and, above all, very efficient and helpful. On my visits to their premises, I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and relaxed I was made to feel and was always confident that they would look after mum in the way I would wish and that the funeral would be conducted exactly as we wished. I will definitely ask them to look after my family in the future, though hopefully not too soon.
