Such a sad time. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family and many friends of the truly caring and genuine person that was our Geoff. He helped and influenced so many people and shadows events far and wide, and the world is a better place for his having been part of it. RIP My friend. Neil R

I owe a huge part of my career to Geoffe. He was a constant support in my life who guided me, advised me, opened doors for me and I benefited from his wealth of knowledge and experience. He was passionate about everything he did and truly cared about the business, the people, the customers.
He was also a true friend. He had a wicked sense of humour and a distinctive laugh. I will always remember our Christmas team do’s where he would make us all dress up to the theme of his choice! Such happy memories. I shall miss hearing his voice, his natural ability to always have the right words to say and most of all his kindness, generosity, and his irreplaceable personality.
The world is a colder and darker place without his warm smile and the happy energy with which he lived his life. “The hole that has been left in the hearts of all who knew and loved him will never be filled.

Geoffe was a pain in the bum! Especially at 6.00 am when he’d phone for a chat on his way to work, just when you were trying to get everything ready for a report. Saying that though, you couldn’t meet a more honest, straight forward, larger than life person always with a tale to recant and advice on any matter. He was a friend as well as my boss for a long period. He was so proud of his family. RIP Geoffe

Shocked and saddened to hear of Geoffe’s passing. Geoffe was ‘old school’ and didn’t suffer fools gladly. Geoffe had very high standards (although I’m not too sure how some of his emails passed spell checker!!) and drove those around him to achieve the same level. Geoffe was my boss for a large part of the last 10+ years of his career in O2, although I had known him for many years previously. He was not only a work colleague but mentor and friend. He taught me a great deal and was always there to offer support and advise, 24x7. Geoffe commanded respect with his, imposing presence, knowledge and unflappable calm nature in situations of high demand and stress or crisis
My thoughts and condolences to family and friends – RIP Sir

So shocked and saddened when I heard that Geoffe had passed away. I first met Geoffe when I joined Cellnet in 1987, we were to attend a training course together in Chicago. I have such fond memories of that time, meeting him only a few weeks before, it was probably after the snowball fight when we arrived in the hotel car park that I felt like I’d known him for years. Geoffe attended my wedding a few years later. When the photos were being taken, he miraculously produced a Cellnet umbrella that he had “acquired” from somewhere. Geoffe was always happy to have a chat and provide advice if needed, he was such a genuine, lovely character with a fantastic sense of humour. Our thoughts and condolences to his family. Rest In Peace Geoffe.

We first met Geoffe when he worked at BT telephone exchange in Bognor Regis in the late 1970s and have been friends ever since. He came to our daughters’ christenings and we have enclosed a family photo attending our daughter’s wedding in 2006.
We’ve stayed in touch over all these years and we will miss his friendship, and the most amazing meals he made us. Love to the family.

Geoffe was a great mentor to me during my time at the company. I have particularly fond memories of working with him on the Apprenticeship scheme.
