In loving memory of George Francis Filkins who sadly passed away on 12th April 2022 , at the age of 102 .
George lived in Bermondsey all his life , one of eleven children.He married his wife Betty at St . Anne’s Church
over 69 years ago .
George served in the 2nd World War in the Middle East & Europe. He worked in the Docks for a number of years .
He went on to work in the City and retired at the age 78 .
