In loving memory of Diana Christina Rose McLaren who sadly passed away on 11th April 2022, aged 60.
Diana touched so many people with her joy for life and positivity.
Beloved wife of Andrew and devoted mother of John. Eldest daughter of Enid Butt and the late Emeritus Professor John Butt, daughter-in-law to Alistair McLaren and the late Frances McLaren, sister to Julia Partington and the late Catriona Butt, sister-in-law to Michael Wigg and Gillian McLaren, auntie to Jack. Former assistant head teacher at Wellington School, Ayr.

Diana’s family are extremely grateful to the surgeons and staff at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and all at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre for their care of Diana. We were delighted that she was able to take part in an experimental drug trial as part of the effort to develop more effective treatments for brain tumours. We would like to thank the district nurses, occupational therapists and speech and language therapist for their help and support. Also the palliative care team from the Inverclyde Centre for Independent Living for their exceptional care, love and friendship for us all during Diana’s final weeks.
